Sri Gururaja Parents-Teachers' Association School was an epoch making achievement, when Sri Gururaja Teachers' Association (Regd.) took bold steps of starting the school right from the Baby Nursery to Seventh Standard simultaneously to provide good standard of education within the manageable means enabling the parents of low and middle income group to fairly a good standard of education for their children and reasonable fees.

In 1985, the Association purchased a site at 76/1, Netaji Road, Thyagarajanagar, Bengaluru - 28 in 1987 and constructed four storied self imposing structure came and was inaugurated on 3-6-1990.

Another milestone in the development of education activities of the Association was the starting of High School in 1995-96 and PUC College during 2007.

Academic Achievement

All these 39 years of its functioning the school is getting 100% result in the preliminary stage of educational carrier of the students of 7th standard examination, whether it is district level or state level examination conducted by the KSEEB, Govt.of Karnataka and the S.S.L.C. Examination results are also on the rise from the first batch (1998) to the present ranging from 73% to 100%. This ascending wave of success is primarily due to the unstinted and motivated efforts of our teachers whom we are proud of.

Taking the needs of the locality and public the management took a bold step in opening PU College in 2007 and we are happy that there are 650 students in Commerce and Science sections with well qualified teaching staff.

The school encourages to develop intellectual, emotional, physical and moral qualities through the child-centered method of teaching. They are encouraged to take part in sports, artistic and cultural activities. Sports facilities in Volley Ball, Hand Ball, Tennis and Cricket are given. The musical ability of our children with enough of encouragement to dance has brought laurels to the institution. We have a good bandset group. For the all round development of the students, literary and cultural activities are conducted.

The Students are taken on visits to places of educational interest and of Historical and Cultural importance. Annual Sports Meet and Literacy activities will be conducted in the first week of January.
